Due to COVID-19 rates skyrocketing in our area, our testing volume has increased dramatically. We have been struggling to keep up with the demand for testing, primary care needs and urgent care needs simultaneously. Staff have been trying to manage phone calls, triaging patients, checking in scheduled patients to exam rooms, giving injections, drawing labs, suiting up to go to vehicles to collect swabs and answering questions. They are absolutely heroes in our community! That said, we can only ask so much from them on a minute to minute basis. Starting on December 17, 2020, we are making the following temporary changes to our appointment flow:

• 8am to 12pm, Monday through Friday, we will be changing to all virtual “walk-ins.” This means all problem oriented visits like COVID testing, rashes, minor injuries and such will be done virtually. Once the provider completes the virtual visit, if they deem it necessary for an in-person visit for a hands-on exam, X-ray, EKG, etc., they will be given a time to come in for this.
• 1pm to 4pm, Monday through Friday, we will be changing to only schedule appointments. This can be an in-person or virtual visit.
• Saturdays, 8am to 2pm, will continue to be all walk-in visits. While we currently encourage virtual visits on this day for anything that can be accomplished virtually, we will also offer in-person problem oriented visits on Saturdays.
• “Walk-in” or unscheduled visits will be limited to a single focused problem.
• Scheduled appointments will be limited to only two focused problems. Please utilize scheduled appointments for regular medication refills.
